Credentials Not Yet Processed

I submitted my application to Stanford through REA on the 29th of October and checked today to see if everything had properly arrived. I was shocked, and now very stressed, to find that my ACT score and the Application Fee were missing. My ACT score was sent on the 21st but it supposably can take up to 2 weeks to arrive at the destination and up to 2 weeks to be matched to the correct file. Because it says this in the email I should be ok not to worry about it right?

Where I am primarily concerned and really upset about is the application fee. My family is in a very rough time right now and I was able to qualify to use the Common App fee waiver. But it says my application fee is not processed. I believe this is because my counselor did not verify that I was eligible (online through the common app) until after I had sent in my application. I didn't see this as a problem at the time because the website still allowed me to submit it with a "fee waiver". Now I am really upset and worried because the Stanford website specifically states they will not even review the application until the fee or waiver arrives. I don't want to be cast out just because my waiver didn't arrive on time! So what can I do to straighten this out?

My plan was to wait on the test scores since they claim they will contact you if score receiving become an issue but I don't want to wait on the fee waiver. I want to have this resolved as soon as possible. Is there a way to have my counselor fax them something to verify me? If so, where would I find that form?

Thanks for the help guys. God bless.

Don’t worry about the ACT scores. If the CB sent your scores, then Stanford already has them. They get them immediately because it’s electronic. Leave it up to the Admissions Office to worry about processing them.

As for the application fee waiver, just ask your counselor what happened. Contact the Admissions Office if that’s not resolved.

I hope this helps. And good luck, fellow applicant!

Is there another step that needs to be taken with the fee waiver? All that I did was verify I was eligible for it and my counselor did the same (both online through the common app) and clicked submit. I though that was it but is there more to the process???

I apologize for sounding frantic, but my counselor is new and has never even used the common app before so she’s not much help or comfort right now.

This morning I again check Axess for my status. While waiting for the update I was in the middle of typing an email to admissions to ask for help when I received an updated status informing me that my fee waiver had been verified. Thank goodness.

I’m glad it worked out for you!
