<p>Don't worry about credit card "perks" (airline miles, dividends, etc) when you're getting your first card to build credit. Start off with the Citi for Students card - its easy to get if you're a student, they'll start you off with about a $1000 limit, and keep that for a bit to build some history.</p>
<p>Just make sure you pay off your full balance each month, and you won't have to worry about the APR.</p>
