Credit for AP scores

Is there a maximum number of credits a student can get credit for from AP tests in McCormick? Based on the chart on the website, my daughter would potentially get credit for 15 units based on her test scores. Each of them is eligible only for the Unrestricted Electives or Theme credit which total 12. So I am assuming she won't be able to use all 15 but also wondering if you can satisfy both of these requirements through AP credits.
Would she be able to graduate early? I know there is a residency requirement and other requirements that would not allow you to graduate more than a year early but 2 - 3 quarters early could be very financially attractive.

Thanks much.

I don’t know specifics but a good number of kids do graduate early as a result of AP credits. My daughter could have graduated one year early if she chose to - she couldn’t in her major (Theatre/MT) as there were requirements for her senior year that she wouldn’t have completed however. She could have at the end of first or second term Senior year with a degree in her major.

I can tell you that because of his AP scores, my son entered McCormick last year as a “Freshman With Sophomore Standing”, and he tested out of some intro courses. He will probably do Coop, so won’t graduate early.

But, since everyone is different, your D needs to talk to her McCormick Faculty Adviser about the details. Good luck - and Congratulations!

Thanks much!
