Hey there, I was wondering if I could take 12 hours my first semester, then bump it up to 15 second semester and still graduate on time. I also have 7 hours of AP credit, which I think would let me graduate in time, but I just was not positive. Thanks

Why not take summer classes? knock out the easy gen eds there… like this summer, I took a required art class online. The class was only 5 weeks (although there was a lot of studying).

Well I was wondering if I did not have to take summer classes with the AP credit I already had from high school to graduate on time.

In reality, it depends if the 7 hours of AP credit apply to the 120 hours needed to obtain your degree.

You need to check with your school.

I wouldn’t drop down to 12 credits your first semester. The reason being, there is a strong possibility that you may need to drop a class in the future. It’s nice to have an overage of credits so you won’t fall behind in case that happens. No sense taking less than 15 credits unless you absolutely have to.
