<p>It is a big deal to have an IGECT class taken as Credit/no credit??
Some people say it is like having a grade "C" on your transcript??</p>

<p>not at all...you dont want to take more than 12 units CR/NC though. But one one or two classes is no big deal...how many overall units did you take in the semester in question?</p>

<p>I took 12 semester units from which 3 as CR/NC</p>

<p>That should not be a big deal, but in the future I would avoid taking CR/NC unless your taking something around 18+ units.</p>

<p>If you are applying to a UC, do not worry as long as you don't exceed the maximum requirement for taking P/NP that they accept. Don't listen to anybody otherwise; even Berkeley acknowledges that it has no effect on your application status <em>unless</em> you took p/np with your prereq, then that looks bad because they can't asses your performance with your major.</p>

<p>I think UC allows you to take 14 units...of CR/NC</p>
