I am wanting to transfer to UCLA and I'm in a community college right now.

I have to take a pre-requisite math class in order to take Statistics, however, the pre-requisite math class does not transfer. (I am following IGETC.)

Would it be okay to take this pre-requisite math class as a credit/no credit? Or does UCLA frown on this?

Thanks!

It is OK to take the class Credit/No Credit, especially if the class does not transfer. You only want to make sure that you take ALL of your pre-requisites for a grade and that you don’t have too many credit/no credit classes on your transcript. Taking non-transferable classes for credit/no credit is fine.

Thanks for the response! I read somewhere that UC looks down on credit/nocredit as a C or something, so I hope that’s not the case.

I did exactly what you’re doing, if that makes you feel any better :).
