credit transfer from liberal arts college

Hey guys, I have a question. Is it possible for me to transfer my credits to do engineering from a liberal arts college? And also is it recommended?

Depends on the courses. Math courses of the type that math and physics majors take, physics courses that physics majors take, and chemistry courses that chemistry majors take are typically applicable to engineering major requirements. Humanities and social studies courses are typically applicable to breadth requirements. But courses like calculus for business or social studies majors and physics for biology majors may not be accepted to fulfill engineering major requirements.

Many LACs are “3” schools of 3+2 programs, so they have to have the prerequisite frosh/soph math and science courses. But students intending to do 3+2 programs only rarely complete them by making the transfer to the “2” school, for various reasons (including admission to and cost / financial aid at the “2” school).

Some LACs do have engineering natively (Harvey Mudd, Swarthmore, Smith, etc.).
