Okay, so I applied to UF and I noticed if I get accepted I will have more than 60 credits. I will have 82 credits finished for the term I enter. Is it true that these credits will not all transfer and the maximum amount is only 60? I will have an AA degree soon, I'm just finishing some prereqs to get into my major.

yes it’s true. I had 90… feels like such a waste to lose 30 but theyll satisfy all your gen eds and theyll use all your pre-reqs towards your degree. You have to earn 60 of your 120 credits at uf no matter what you transfer in with

What? That is ridiculous. They are all gen ed and prereqs anyways, so what are they going to do? Tell me that I can’t use them? I do not like the way most universities do not allow credits to transfer. I do not feel like taking a class over again, especially if you’re the person who has aced the majority of your classes. That is a waste of time and money. Now I’m not sure if I should consider UF because of this.

Sorry, that’s what I meant. Your AA will satisfy all the gen ed stuff for UF, and they will transfer all your pre-reqs as well. You shouldn’t have to retake anything. I just meant regardless of having 82 credits, you still need 60 credits at UF but you should be able to satisfy that with all your remaining upper level courses and stuff for your major… maybe an elective or 2
