I have a question regarding APs:
I have taken in high school 4 AP classes. I know I can get credit for one from last year (AP Language). I’m hoping to get even more credits for the APs I took this year…AP Lit and maybe AP Psych (I took the AP Euro exam, but I’m not that confident in how I did well enough to get credit). My question is…how do you get the credits once in Barnard? I specified on my 3 exams from this year that I want the scores sent to Barnard…but do I have to contact the school, or will I just automatically receive the credits?

As I recall, the AP credits were pretty much automatic.

thank you!

Double check with the information for each department for AP credit. My d. got credit automatically for AP Lit, AP English Composition, APUSH & AP Psych. But she found out later that AP Econ credit is given only if the student also passes a test with the Econ dept -- unfortunately, they had mistakenly given her the credit and she didn't find out about that 2nd test until they sent her an email when the removed the credit from her transcript spring semester. I think that if she had known at the beginning, she probably would have taken the test ... but she didn't feel confident about it a year later, so I think she just pretty much gave up on those 3 points.
