Hi all:
My son is a rising Senior who has been in contact with the Harvard Heavyweight coaches about rowing for Harvard. As July 1 approaches, I am here to ask if anyone has been through Harvard recruiting process and if so, how the process/timeline went. I am happy to communicate by PM, since I know this is a very sensitive and private topic. Thanks.

Hi, I’m currently going through the process- would like very much to hear about your experiences. PM me if possible.

Cheers

3x- Have you read all the pertinent info in the Recruited Athletes section of the Specialty Admissions thread under College Admissions? There many detailed sagas of Ivy recruiting. Best of luck!

I don’t know if all sports are the same but my son just recevied a likely letter as a recruited athlete. Actually, this has been a long process - about a year. In June, the coach requested his grades, test scores and rec’s and passed it through the admission liason that works with this team. Once the coach decided that he wanted him ( in early Oct) he had an interview with the person who handles our geographic area. The next day we heard back that the interview had gone well and that the admission officer would recommend his for admission. A week later, the committee met and voted to issue him a likely letter. The admission officer called us at home that evening to let us know the results. So glad this is behind us!

Congratulations revbon50! Isn’t it wonderful to have the process end so well, and so early?!

Thanks so much! We feel very blessed.
