Does anyone here row or cox? I'm a coxswain :)

I’d love to start rowing when I get to college, but I’m the most unfit person on the face of the earth.

Eh, it’s not hard to get ready, there are usually some Ergs at your average gym. And do a lot of crunches and anything to strengthen your legs [crew is 90% in your legs, back and abs]. What’s difficult is learning rowing technique, and I’m not sure how one would learn it… There are rowing camps and such, maybe you should try one out. I will warn you that many people have rowed for several years before college crew. I go to private school in the New England area and the vast majority of schools have thriving crew programs [our girls’ varsity crew almost qualified for henley, but not quite
]. Crew is like a cult though…seriously…the whole team’s really close and everyone in crew becomes so devoted to it.
