An email I got from a friend at Princeton who works in the admission office:
Hey, I talked to one of the admissions officers I work for (name removed) and he said letters are going out the 14th, no exceptions. Don't listen to all those rumors and ******** because I heard it from "the horse's mouth."

So, there we have it. I think we can all sleep easy tonight.

she probably have it from a more reliable source than i do, but i've never heard of the front desk ever messing up :-/

pointless to ask and offensive to the extreme, I'm sorry but why would I lie to complete strangers on a matter that would offer me no advantage whatsoever?

We (Pton hopefuls) are really official about everything...."aforementioned approved template" :p

I agree completely...I can't stand disorganization. Dartmouth was going to have a pathetically unorganized decisions thread and I had to jump in and save the day with a modified version of ours. I even looked up the hex code for forest green....

I drank 3/4 of a liter of vodka straight last night at a party.... maybe I should've drunk more to ensure that I wouldn't be conscious until the damn letter arrives.

dude is that a reference to aaron burr? Because if it is that's awesome. Aaron Burr is by far my favorite historical figure. I love how he died in a random duel.

Burr is pretty incredible.... you should definitely check out the novel of the same name by Gore Vidal; it pretty much definitively altered the way I look at the past, and it's extremely well-written and entertaining. I ended up using Vidal in the Princeton essay that asked about a person who has had a significant influence on us.

One more thing- Burr died of natural causes in 1836.... in the famous duel it was Hamilton who ended up kicking the bucket (quite a shame... Hamilton was freakin' brilliant).
