Critical Reading and Math

Hi,

Sorry if I'm asking a question thats already been asked, couldn't find a great answer for it. Feel free to link me :)

So, I took the SAT in October and got 700 on CR (5 passage questions wrong and 2 sentence completions), 730 on math (1 inc, 2 omit), and 770 on writing (75/10).

How do you get your CR from like 700 to 800? Any effective books? I've heard of Grammatix, Barrons 2400/Barrons CR Workbook, and Rocket Review. Which is the best/most effective for CR from personal experience/ any other good CR books?

Math might have just been a bad day... Still how might i improve it? I've heard Barrons / Grubers math workbooks are good... are they? any other suggestions?

Thanks in advance for the help :D

Oh, also, I’m hoping to retake in March so I have less than 2 months.

I really liked Barron’s 2400, the tips for the Sentence Completions are really good. With them you can probably get to the point of only missing one sentence completion without even studying vocab (I did study vocab though). For CR, I think the absolute best way to boost your score though is not reading tips and tricks but doing practice tests. Surprisingly you will begin to sort of get a “sense” for which is the right answer. I wish you luck!
