Critical reading help!!!!

I desperately need help with critical reading. Sometimes I don't finish the section or I just miss a lot of questions. What should I do? (any advice would be helpful!)

Try this method if you dont already. Read the line references and underline the parts in the passage that refer to that question. After reading the passage and analyzing the underlined portion go back to the passage.

Try answering the questions with your own words before you look at the answers so you know what you’re looking for, and that should help you a lot. That simple strategy helped me a ton with the passage based questions

Thanks!!! I was just wondering do you always read the entire passage?

Yes usually. I feel like reading slower and understanding is more important than reading fast and not understanding as when you read slower you can usually answer the questions in 5-20 seconds as oppose to looking back to the passage many times

Also, if you still have some time, I’d recommend subscribing to some magazines such as Time or the Economist. It’ll help you understand higher level writing more easily.
