Critical Reading Issue

This has been bugging me for months, but here I go.
I might have made a topic relating to this a few weeks ago, but the issue is this:

I am pretty aware about how the ANSWER is right in the text when it comes to long passages.

If I don't put concern about time, I can do as slow as I want to find the answer. But the problem is, how can I find the answer faster in a reasonable pace? I find myself struggling to find the answer in the passages even though I know (especially inference questions) which paragraph is it in, sometimes not even comprehending the text. What should I do?

Keep doing them at a slower pace. Slowly by slowly start giving yourself less and less time. Eventually, you should start improving your pace.

practice, practice, practice...from my experience, it takes months to improve if u work on passages 1-2 hours each day...i found all the CR passages from all reasonable SAT books (princeton review, collegeboard's, barron's workbook, etc...)
