<p>I got into 3 colleges out of 8 so far, one college have offered me scholarship</p>

<p>Shouldn't really make a difference on the schools youre waiting on if you notify them. I believe SSN is just a security precaution (make sure its you. Same thing with standardized tests requiring it) because if they would've used the one you gave them already, it would've come up fake. I would assume this is a semi-often mistake</p>

<p>My oldest daughters SS# didn't match up with her name in the us databank. It didn't even show up until college applications because that was about the first year that the US had them all on computers. In any event, it took almost 9 months to straighten that out and the school worked with us really well. So as far as I can tell, if you gave them just the wrong number, it should be a snap to correct.</p>
