English is my second language, and I am the first generation in the USA. I do not qualify for financial aid.

I have a good reason for my low overall GPA, since I had a family problem junior year and I fell extremely sick as well.

Chance me for UC Berkeley, UCLA, UC Davis, UC Irvine, UC Santa Cruz? Pretty please! Thank you very much in advance.

I do not qualify for financial aid.

Is that because you’re an int’l or because your family makes too much money?

Has your family agreed to pay for all costs no matter where you go?

What is your career goal with those majors?

Cal and UCLA are reaches
UCI and the rest of the UCs are matches
Santa Cruz may be a safety…never sure about safeties and UCs.

Of course, a safety can only be a safety if you know all costs are covered.

Are you going to apply out of state anywhere?

What is the breakdown of your SAT?

Your GPA is not low, just mediocre. And your SAT is not mediocre, just not good enough for the top 1% of all the colleges in the world.
