I would personally suggest adding or replacing a school with University of Illinois Urbana Champaign on the list. Fantastic computer science program. Located in a lively college town. Big school with a lot of school spirit and plenty of opportunities to be social. It might be a little farther than home than you wanted, but I think it has enough of what you want to warrant a close look.

@insanedreamer If I recall correctly, freshmen are admitted directly. All students pick a first and second choice major and are admitted accordingly to the appropriate college, which in this case would be the college of engineering.
