Here’s my Junior year schedule:
- DE Analysis
- AP Human Geography
- AP Psychology
- AP Biology
- AP English 11
- Chemistry II Honors
- Va/US History Honors
- Study Hall
Since I’ve added a study hall I feel as if I’m more likely to get straight A’s in these course
Please ask me as many questions and give me advice on it!
What is DE Analysis? Where is your math class? What is your intended major?
^DE Analysis is a Math class (similar to calculus) taken at a college. DE stands for Dual Enrollment, which is also called PSEO, SUPA, or Running Start in different regions of the country.
Take EITHER AP Psych or AP Human Geog as both are AP Lite and taking both looks like padding.
You’re missing a foreign language level 3, 4, or AP.
Everything else is good.
Thank you ^ for clarifying “DE”. We call it DC (dual credit) or CCP (college credit plus). I need to spend more time learning the acronyms!
- DE Analysis
- AP Human Geography

- Chemistry II Honors
- Va/US History Honors

Why two lab sciences at once?
Why AP Human Geo? seems like AP filler…why not AP USH or AP WH? Or honors history?
Do you have all the Foreign Language (3), Health & Physical Education (2), Fine Arts or Career & Technical Education (1) and Economics and Personal Finance (1) that VA requires?
I’m wondering why you’re considering both AP HG and Psych, but are only taking Honors VA/US History? That’s the only part that doesn’t make sense to me.
Va History is required in Virginia.
Just curious, but where do you plan to go to college? Just asking because what you’d need to get into a public college in Virginia is much different than what you’d need to get into Harvard.
@simberry2 I plan to attend the University of Virginia or Duke (if of course everything goes as plan)
@bopper I’m taking 2 Lab Sciences at once so i can take both AP Bio and AP Chem before I graduate, that’s why I took it, my school offers no other AP courses unless you think I should pick up another Science (AP Enviromental or Physics I Honors). I’m also taking Honors History just called Honors VA/US History at my school
@LeastComplicated Yes I have all of those requirements! Well a very smart kid in the grade above me, #1 in the class, has a B average for the year and I’d rather take the Honors course and pull an easy 4.5, plus I dont really care about the history classes because i want to major in Bio/Chem and minor in the other.
You don’t have to take AP Bio and AP Chem…the most important thing is that you do well in your classes. See if you can handle both.
@bopper I’m not going to be taking them the same year, AP Bio my Junior and AP Chem Senior. I take both Chemistry I Honors and Adv. Biology I this year and have about a 94 average in both.
That’s good. However make sure you also take regular or honors physics a some point.
@MYOS1634 I plan to my senior year, Honors
