CRNA program right after undergrad?

First post, hopefully on the proper forum section…

I’m on my way to becoming a senior this fall, and one of my AP teachers was telling me, from the way I understood it, that there are schools who have CRNA programs after you complete you undergrad there, but you aren’t guaranteed a spot (you’d have to apply, and could get rejected as its extremely competitive), and that there are schools where you are guaranteed a spot into the program. Did I hear her right? If so, which schools actually do this? I believe the term is Direct Entry, I could be wrong though.

Thanks!

I’ll look forward to the answers. I haven’t kept up on CRNA direct entry. Every CRNA program I’ve ever known requires at least 1-2 years experience in a broad range of critical care areas such as ICU, CVICU and pediatric ICU.

I did a quick google search and it looks like there are some of these programs and you are guaranteed a spot but they do still maintain the work requirements. The direct entry just sort of “holds your spot.”
