I would love to apply to NYU, but I have a lot of different interests, but I'm worried that the colleges will hinder my ability to really explore different fields. I know that I want to study neuroscience and art extensively. I was hoping to major in neuroscience and minor in visual arts, but from what I can tell, its not possible. I would willingly take a double major, but if I do that, which college should I apply to? Can I just take art classes in a different college or are there sever limitations?

Thanks a bunch!

Look into NYU’s Gallatin School of Interdisciplinary Study.

^^^I would actually not recommend Gallatin for what you’re looking for. From what I’ve heard, a degree from Gallatin doesn’t hold as much weight as a degree from CAS. Actually, the Studio Art major offers a minor so I would look into that.

[Studio Art Minor - Minors in Studio Art & Global Visual Art - NYU Steinhardt](Minor Studio Art | NYU Steinhardt)

If you’re interested in the majors in Tisch and CAS or Tisch and another school, you HAVE to apply to Tisch then pick your other major in another school. Tisch only allows Tisch students to take Tisch classes and they do not offer any minors. I’m unsure about Steinhardt.
