Cross country kids, any tips?

<p>Mt. Sac is in Walnut, California. I ran that course back in 2004 and it's tough if you're not good with hills. The first mile is flat, the second mile has a couple hills, and the last mile has a large hill.</p>

<p>Yeah, I love the hills. Just gotta go up them fast. Poop-out just kills you. The switchbacks are alright. Reservoir just sucks.</p>

<p>Switchbacks by itself is the worst of the hills. You just don't feel as much pain because it's earlier in the race. I have to agree though, poop out sucks. There's like a little incline at the top of the hill that you don't see until you've almost crested the hill, and it completely slaps you across the face.</p>
