Cross-majoring at the Claremont Colleges

Hi, I am a rising senior and I plan to apply to Pomona and Scripps this fall. My prospective major, linguistics, is not offered at Scripps, so if I chose that school I would have to cross-major at Pitzer. How easy is it to cross-register among the Claremont colleges? Is it a hassle, or relatively convenient?

I took a couple of linguistics classes this year and there were multiple scrippsies in my class. Pitzer and Pomona have a shared linguistics department and it is my understanding that students at all 5 schools can major in lingusitics if they choose to. We have a really good department, though sadly, a couple of professors are leaving. I think majoring at scripps shouldn’t be too much of a problem, though.

Due to some odd coincidence I had four Scripps friends majoring in linguistics while I was a student, some through Pomona and some through Pitzer. All of them were very happy with the program, and majoring in an off-campus major is easy to do at the Claremonts.
