Are the colleges expecting an intro, body, and conclusion format for their short supplement essays (250 words) or can I just answer them with 1 or 2 paragraphs??

Any response will be helpful.

Short supplement essays are not expected to follow a formula such as intro-body-conclusion. Use the application as an opportunity to show who you are, what you have experienced and where you think you are headed in life. If answering a question with an intro-body-conclusion allows you to do your best at taking advantage of that opportuity, that’s fine. But, if you think another format suits you better you are free to choose.

Thank You so much for answering, that was really going to put a road stop on my application process.

Any second opinions out there? (I hope there isn’t :P)

I agree with niceday, don’t waste any of the precious 250 words repeating the same stuff in an intro/conclusion. They’re not expecting a full essay, just an answer to the question. No tricks!
