<p>Before I finish the question, I just would like to say that yes, I do know there have been several other posts regarding this. I have read the majority of them, but am still confused.</p>
<p>If any, what exactly is the difference between International Relations (IR) and International Studies (IS)?</p>
<p>The reason that I am bringing this back up is that through all of the other threads, I read several different answers. Some say that there are no differences, some say there are crucial differences. The crucial part is that I want to eventually pursue a masters in IR, at hopefully one of the leading schools (Georgetown, Johns Hopkins, Harvard, etc.), but the major of which my dream undergraduate school offers is under the title 'IS.' Would this be a problem? </p>
