<p>Hi. I am hoping to place out of CS 102. Does anyone have experience with the placement test and study guides? I really don’t want to take this on top of two other CS classes. Thanks for any help.</p>
<p>Are you talking about the CS AP test? or a CLEP test? Or does Bama offer a CS placement test like it offers Math placement tests?</p>
<p>Alabama does offer this test (for my son it was a couple days after move-in) and he found it fairly easy to pass. The test is free, but if you want the study materials, they were 80.00. My son claims the test is taken almost directly from the study materials, so he highly recommends them, especially since his ‘more sensible’ way to accomplish a task was frequently different than the answer they required. He didn’t get the materials until 2 weeks before, and had no problem at all. Good luck.</p>
