Cs 188 (ai)

How much work is this class with Prof. Klein? It looks like four projects in a new language (Python), and quite a bit of dense, difficult material. How much time does each project take? I've found CS 61C to be a crapload of work with Dan Garcia and I really don't want to repeat that, especially with two other technical classes.

Most importantly, how lenient is his grading curve? Fall 2006 was the first time he taught it, and he didn't release any grade distributions or stats. How are his exams?

Overall, is this class worth taking?

hmm.. I don't know much about CS188 itself, but I'd like to know about it also. And for that matter, can anyone give any info about the other CS upper divison courses in general?

I can give very detailed info on:

EECS 150
CS 160
CS 170
CS 186

Or I can answer in generalities, if you give me a question that's answerable :).

I'd like to hear anything you can offer on those classes. All I've heard is that 150 is an insane amount of work, that 186 is rather useless, and that they're all generally pretty tough.

I've heard that 186 is rather useless too, but a lot of employers do like their applicants to have taken it. Last I asked, both Amazon and Expedia representatives recommended the class when I asked them about the coursework they were looking for.

Can anyone identify the top 8-10 EECS classes that are most practical/look the best on a resume?

From what I've heard (mainly by asking other students and representatives at career fairs): 105, 120, 130, 141, 150, 162, 170, 184, 186
