I searched the forum, but I don't think anyon mentioned if it is possible to take two CS classes in a semester?

My expected Fall Schedule:

*Physics 7A
*CS 61A
*CS 61B
*Humanities

Spring:

*Physics 7B
*CS 61 C
*EECS 20N
*(Maybe Math 1B or 53, depends on AP results)

Chose to take only 4 classes each semester because I need to do work study. Not sure if it has any problems. Please comment on this. Thanks in advance.

If you want to take Phys 7B, you should at least be taking Math 53 concurrently.

Math 54 is highly recommended for EE 20.

There's a lot of stuff on trees in 61B and 61A teaches you the basics. So you'd want to have taken 61A before 61B unless you have a strong background on the subject.

I think you're better off starting with Math/Phys/CS/Hum. There's more variety too.

A is prereq to B which is prereq to C. Prereqs aren't enforced, do whatever you want.

Be warned, my friend tried B & C and ended up dropping both.

You don't need Math 54 before EE20, the course has changed, Babak pretty much covers everything you need to know from 54 and it even made more sense than what was taught in 54.

No, and use the search feature. There was a good topic on this not too long ago, and most of us who have taken both 3 and 61A agreed that starting off with 61A will NOT be a problem for most entering students who have no prior coding experience.

Do whatever you want and what you think you can handle.

I'm only here to provide the information. Math 54 is not required for EE20 nor do I feel it necessary for it. The only thing related are eigenvectors and eigenvalues.
