Cs 61a

I'm looking at the required courses for an Engineering Physics major and it says that I should take CS 61A or 61B during my freshman year. I'm looking at the prerequisites for 61A and they are rather ambiguous. Aside from math courses, what are the required prerequisites for CS 61A? If I have no prior programming experience, will I still be able to do well in the course if I take it this fall?

Thanks in advance

Prior programming experience is recommended. You COULD still potentially take the class but everyone I know who is in EECS has done some form of programming/CS before. You’d be at a disadvantage, but you could still manage if you work hard!

Yeah I have no intention of going into EECS or any programming intensive discipline. How about E7 instead? That’s another option. What are the prerequisites and how does that compare to CS 61A?

Listed corequisite for Engineering 7 is Math 1B.
