C's and B's

I’ve been kinda concerned over this. I feel like my transcript and GPA are the weakest parts of my application. My overall GPA is around 3.85 unweighted and my weighted is a 4.0. All in all, I’m an A student; I’ve gotten 38 A’s, but 8 B’s and 1 C. The C was in a trig honors class in my sophomore year, and I really struggled with the first semester, but I managed to pull up my grade to a B in the second. My B’s are 4 B+'s, 2 B’s, and 2 B-'s, mostly from my sophomore year again. I don’t know if it makes a difference, but I’ve gotten all A’s in my AP courses. Will it make a big impact on my application? I’m really planning on working hard to maintain all A’s in my upcoming senior year with 3 APs. I know there’s no point in fussing about it since it’s already done with, but I’d like to know if it’s that big of a hindrance. Thanks!

You have a 3.85 and feel your GPA will pull you down? It sounds like your Junior year was excellent which is good. Do well the first semester of senior year so it shows on your transcript.

Your GPA is on the upswing. The rigor of getting As in the APs is also good: big difference. You are headed to a selective college, no matter the Bs. What are SAT/ACT scores like?

@PetulaClark I haven’t taken them yet, but I’ve been hardcore studying for the ACT’s. Planning on hitting 32+. I’m applying to a handful of top 50 colleges, so I definitely need that high ACT score.
