will majoring in computer science while doing pre-med look good on a resume for employers

how in the world are you going to manage a cs and a pre-med major at the same time???

you mean employers as in hospitals and such, right?

otherwise, why would you tell engr companies that you ultimately want to be a doctor?

What type of career(s) are you looking into?

study bio informatics or computational biology instead.

Is this still a good idea, because I am thinking of doing something like this.

Double-majoring in an engineering or engineering-related field is never a good idea because of the workload. It is especially not a good idea if you’re a pre-med trying to get into med school because of the high GPA requirements. It’s an even worse idea to do CS and pre-med with no intention of going to med school.

Pre-med isn’t a major so it’s not like you’ll even be able to show anybody that you were a pre-med without listing out all the courses you took.

This IS a good idea if you like CS and want to leave open the opportunity to go to med school if you change your mind.

What are you trying to accomplish? Are you trying to have a backup plan if you don’t get into med school? I think it’s reasonable for that purpose, but keep in mind that at many schools the grading is harsher for engineering majors and so it may hurt you for getting into med school. it’s a good backup, though.

If you’re not planning to go to med school in the first place, there’s no point in going the premed route. If you want to do health informatics or something, you could always grab a bio minor, or major in bioinformatics if the option’s available at your school.

Don’t feed the ■■■■■■. All of his other topics are inane drivel as well.
