CS at a Liberal Arts school

I would like to pursue a degree in engineering and/or computer science with a possible minor in finance or econ. I was wondering which liberal arts colleges would be good for this?

First, would a major from a LAC be a hindrance to me getting into grad school? (I eventually would like to go to MIT, Stanford, Cal etc for grad school in CS or engineering). Would I be able to get in from a Liberal Arts college?

Also, I was looking at W&M’s 3-2 plan with Columbia. How is this? Are you guaranteed admission if you have a certain gpa or is it like reapplying for admission.

If anyone could provide some LAC which are strong in CS or engineering (besides Harvey Mudd), that would be great.

Thanks

Which liberal arts school? Some have good CS offerings; others are severely limited.

3+2 programs are generally less desirable, since they involve an extra year of costs, uncertainty about financial aid (Columbia does not promise as much as for 3+2 transfers as for frosh and other transfers), and uncertainty of admission (the needed college GPA and grades are harder to attain than the same grades in high school).

You can do a search to see which LACs offer CS. I know Harvey Mudd and Carleton do. Both are hard to get into, especially HM.

As far as grad school, LACs have excellent results for students getting into grad school. That is not going to be a problem at all.
