Is it possible to major in Computer Science in the School of Arts and Sciences at WUSTL (and if not, is it difficult to take a lot of courses in CS there)?
You can only major in CS here through the school of engineering. I have taken a few cs courses and I wouldn’t say that they are too difficult but they are a lot of work (labs, studios, etc.)
Actually this is not completely true. The Math department has a fairly new “Computer Science + Math” (CS+Math) major. It is unique in that either A&S or SEAS students can declare the major, but they have different core requirements depending on the student’s enrolled school. If you google for “wustl cs+math” it pops right up on top. Note that it requires a bit more hard core math courses than the standard CS major in SEAS.
