Anyone know if there is a chance of another lecture class opening for CSCI 106L? Is it required freshman year for computer engineering majors? Can you take it Soph. year if you are CSComputer Engineering major?

Probably not. They don't open extra lectures unless there's at least 12 students who need that lecture, which probably won't happen. Plus, Mark Redekopp probably has enough on his plate as it is.

If it's full, then the most likely scenario is that they'll just add a couple extra seats. It's a little complicated because there might be university rules on maximum # of students in a lab class, but they'll figure it out.

Depending on how you do things it may or may not be required. If for some reason it's delayed to sophomore year, you can probably still take it, but since it's just an intro class it might be necessary to move things along in order to finish in 4 years. Talk to Steve Schrader about all this - he'll be able to put some definitives down on this.

edit: If it's a time conflict with another class, talk to Steve also - it may be possible to substitute classes.
