CS courses not offered

<p>I am interested in majoring in computer science, and i was looking through this list of courses offered:</p>

<p>Computer</a> Science, Caltech - Course Descriptions</p>

<p>However, i noticed that quite a few of the courses described are not offered for this school year. Is this usually the case with CS classes at Caltech? Would course availability be any different at other Universities? Lets say i do get into Caltech and decide to attend.. could it end up being a huge problem if I need to take a class that is not offered?</p>

<p>You should refer to the CS</a> teaching chart, which lists which classes are offered what terms, for both this year and last year. Many upper-division courses are only offered every other year or so; so looking at last year's will give you some idea of what might be offered next year. Also, since Hickey left after last year there isn't CS134 or CS136 this year, and who knows when they will be taught again.</p>
