CS Courses per semester?

How many graduate CS courses is it normal to take per semester? (I'm interested in pursuing a masters.)

How long does a masters degree typically take? The one I'm looking at requires 8 courses... I'm wondering if I can take 3 courses per semester.

Bump this is still relevant to me many months later. Any ideas? Is it out of the question to take 3 courses in 1 semester and then 4 courses in another or 4 courses per semester?

Thanks,

The undergrad I am at requires 10 classes and most people do 3 per semester. The highest I have seen is 6 per semester on facebook, but I think that is very unlikely.

mattd 6 grad courses per semester?

Also I was talking about MS courses in CS not BS.

Not me, but someone at my school who was probably trying to do a masters in 1 year.

It depends on the school, if you're part-time or full-time, and if you're having to balance classwork with a TAship or RAship.

I would expect 3 or 4 classes/semester to be the most common setup for full-time students.
