C's in precalc

did EVERYBODY get a C in honors precalc? i mean, it's not just CC...60% of my class has a C or below...and they are not dumb kids

I got an A, but barely. Pre-calc was my hardest math class every. I'm now in differential equations...

I got a C in AAT too (our schools' pre-calc), but most of class had A's and B's. They had the answer keys but hey, anything to get into Harvard right? :/

Whats killing you??

B right now; I'll have an A by the end of the semester (not necessarily I'm smart, but the class isn't that bad)

Lol, precalc was by far the easiest math class I have ever taken. Maybe my school's just weird?

I started the class yesterday. From my first test, I can tell it is NOT going to go well. :/

yep. i took honors precalc in sophomore year and got a C. i think that was mostly because i was the only sophomore taking it so i had no friends to help me out, my teacher was terrible, and my school was on block system (meaning that i had to do the class in a semester instead of a year). so i probably got a C due to the circumstances. i think how hard your honors precalc class is depends on your school. i'm retaking it now at a different school with a different teacher and i have an easy A.

Precalc is my hardest class this year. The problem is our grade in the class is made up of very few tests and quizzes. Through this entire quarter, we've only had two tests so far, and we have the "possibility" of having one more before it ends. This makes it difficult because there is nothing to back your grade up in the class. The teacher isn't the best either. The material, however, isn't really difficult. It's just the class itself.

I'm in IB math methods one (IB for pre calc) and I'm getting destroyed as well (C) =[

My school doesn't offer honors Pre-Calc, just regular Pre-Calc. It worked out great for me. Most of the students in my class were completely lost but I aced the class, in fact got an A+ both semesters, but I've always been an excellent math student. I could tell that me moved far too quickly for the less proficient math students, which perhaps is why it's a good idea to have an honors class and a regular class to separate the good and average math students.

What's so hard about precalc? I'll tutor you guys and add it to my transcript :).

I got As in both semesters of Precalculus last year. However, I took regular instead of honors, despite the fact that I had ALWAYS been an honors math student. It was the first year I had to level down, an extremely hard decision, and a bruise to my ego, but I am SO glad I did because I know I would have gotten a B or C in honors and probably would have done worse in my other classes (due to the fact that I'd be spending more time studying for math!)

I got straight A's in precalc, strangely. It was my easiest math class ever. It was all memorization and applying formulas. I'm in AP Calc now and have an A, but it's harder to attain due to the new way of thinking.

I got a C (B first semester, C second) in pre-cal too! Don't worry it's not the end of the world. I still got into Rice!

yeahh i havea veryy high b right now i need an a on the final soooo bad!...does anyone knw of any good online study guides i can practice from? our school doesnt use a book, we just have "investigative explorations" so not that many problems to practice from.
