Any thoughts or advice regarding CS-LSA and CS-Eng in UMich? Which one is better?

It’s all about what type of electives and distribution requirements you want to fulfill. My son switched to LSA after considering this. (He’s also a math double major.) As I understand it, placements after graduation are statistically identical. However, my sister, a EE, insists that engineers will look down on my son forever for not having a BSE.

Short answer: Doesn’t matter

I highly recommend CS-LSA to people who already know a bit of programming under their belt. That way he/she can take 280 and 203 in their first semester then, 281 second semester.
