My cousin graduated from UCSD with a BS in CS. He is now doing very well for himself. He graduated with a 2.7 BUT he worked 4 years at UCSD-asked the professor if he could help out and do anything- while a student and then got hired by the school once he graduated and made around 40k. He worked there for a few more years until he had all the experience he needed to land great jobs. In fact, he randomly decided to move to New York City and found a job that gave him great money right off the bat. His advice? Experience was worth far more than the degree, and that’s the truth.

I went to UCSD Ecology major until I switched this summer into Mech E at a CC, but from what I heard, it’s really intense and the labs are killer and suck the life out of you.
