Unless a miracle happens next week with a few reach schools or a UC spot opens up,
an accomplished computer science kid is left with the following two very different choices:
Boulder Colorado University or
Chapman University
Which would be better for Computer Science? We live in CA.
Are finances an issue? Which do you prefer? I personally would consider Chapman. They have a good reputation overall, just not sure specifically for CS. Take a look at the CS course requirements for each school and see if there is a huge difference in curriculum.
Thank you @Gumbymom. Finances are OK for either school. In Colorado he will have out-of-state tution, which makes the two schools not too far apart financially. He would have preferred to stay in CA (that’s why so many UCs on his list), but a good Computer Science Department is really important.
