Hello!
I’m currently international undergraduate CS student with minor in Data Analysts and Stats.
I am studying in USA in not very well known university (top 150) and planing to either go on to do CS/MBA program at Stanford or SM CDO at MIT (well, I have other options, those ones are my top choices).
I was wondering if anyone had experience with applying to these programs and know how good are their funding.
Or how generally is funding for CS grad programs?
In general there is limited funding for masters programs if the university has a PhD program. Many universities look at these programs as revenue generators.
^What @xraymancs said. Stanford plainly says on their website that their master’s program in CS is not funded.
Q: What financial resources are available to Masters Students?
A: The Computer Science MS program is not funded. MS students should not rely on assistantships to pay for tuition. Teaching and research assistantships can only be arranged once you are a registered student, and are negotiated on a quarter-by-quarter basis. The only form of financial aid available is in the form of student loans. In order to qualify, you must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

MIT says that most incoming students are funded through teaching and research assistantships.
What, if any, Financial Support is available to incoming CDO students?
Most financial support awarded to accepted CDO students is in the form of a Research Assistantship (RA) or Teaching Assistantship (TA). While we cannot guarantee financial support for each admitted student, we make every effort to match admitted students with CCE faculty who can offer financial support through a sponsored research project. This matching also takes into account the students’ stated research interests and the faculty member’s area of research. Please visit the CCE Researchers pages for information about the CCE affiliated faculty and their research interests. http://computationalengineering.mit.edu/research
For additional information on graduate student finances, visit the Office of the Dean for Graduate Education website: http://odge.mit.edu/finances . Here you will find information about a variety of funding opportunities both inside and outside of MIT.

If I were an applicant, I’d ask the department what % of students are supported through RAs or TAs.
