CS minor with E7

Can I do the CS minor with E7 ( I have already taken E7) instead of CS 61A. I know it lists CS 61A on the cs minor page for berkeley, but is this possible?

Unlikely. The two don’t actually have much overlap in curriculum.

Yes, it is possible. The CS people accept E7 as fully equivalent to CS61A, even for upper division prerequisites. You may have to learn a few odd Scheme-specific terms that your peers will be using when you take CS61B, but past that it shouldn’t be an issue.

For what its worth, E7 is a pretty solid class programming-wise if you take it with Mechanical Engineer teachers. The Civil E guys end up structuring the class much more towards solving problems with large data sets while the Mech E guys definitely do more programming concepts (recursion, working with integers, primes, neat programming games) and data structures (binary trees etc).
