C's Or Withdrawal?

Hello, and thank you to anyone who takes the time to read this and help me.

I am currently enrolled in 10 units online from my local CC. I have been experiencing some mental health issues recently, and to say the least, I’m falling behind in these online classes. I have until the 18th to drop these classes. Should I try for C’s on these online classes (natural history, international politics, and visual literacy) or take the three withdrawals on my transcript? I would like to eventually transfer to a more prestigious UC like UCB or UCLA- however I am still lost on what I want to major in (that’s another issue entirely).

Should I take 3 W’s, get my head on right, and tackle CC (not online) in the summer and explain the withdrawals in my transfer app? Or should I try for C’s (I might end up getting a D, I feel like an idiot for falling behind on online classes) and try to climb out of a 2.0 (or worse) GPA hole? Any advice is really appreciated- I have until tomorrow to drop these classes for a W.

If you can document your mental health issues, you can petition to have these courses removed from your transcript. Universities don’t like to see a bunch of withdrawals on a transcript, but I suppose three ‘Ws’ look better than three ‘Cs’, particularly if you have an explanation AND you can show that this one term was a departure from your other terms where you earned good grades.
