CS vs CS&E

DD is trying to decide if she should apply to CS or CS&E. Currently she is mostly interested in CS. I see that CS enrollment is twice large than CS&E. Could anyone compare two?

It depends how interested she would be in learning some hardware in addition to software. With the CS major you pretty much only learn about software, while in the CS&E major you learn primarily about software but you also take some EE classes which gives you a good introduction to hardware as well.

It’s much harder to get into CS than CSE base on last year stats. I think it’s better to apply as CSE and take more CS classes.

Thank you @DrGoogle This is what I think too.
