Heard that CS26 is a squadron that had to keep their dorm room open over the weekend? Any truth to that??? What would cause that?

It could be a number of things. Those kinds of decisions are usually left up to the squadron commander or, sometimes, the AOC. It's possible that somebody (mostly likely a 4 degree) in 26 messed up and the squad. comm. decided to implement the policy as a sort of punitive measure. It's also possible (though you probably would have heard about this, if it were true) that it was a group-wide thing, and that all of 3rd Group spent their weekend that way.

That being said, I have no idea if the rumor you heard is true or not. But, in any case, I wouldn't worry too much about it - open doors aren't that big of a deal and this wouldn't be something that's going to stick around weekend after weekend.

But what does 'keeping your dorm room open' mean????

He means keeping your door open. Normally during the weekend you can close the door to your room and enjoy a little privacy.

OK thanks !!

yes they did. the reason is they lost a bet.

in short, the upperclassmen and 4 digs had a competition with some physical challenges, the 4 digs lost, so the result was doors open all weekend. they agreed to take the challenge knowing the "consequence" if they lost. so no, no one did anything wrong to merit that.
