Is it a difficult course?

“Falling in love” is mainly a Western term used to describe the process of moving from a feeling of neutrality towards a person to one of love. The use of the term “fall” implies that the process is in some way inevitable, uncontrollable, risky, irreversible, or that it puts the lover in a state of vulnerability, in the same way the word “fall” is used in the phrase “to fall ill” or “to fall into a trap”. The term is generally used to describe an (eventual) love that is strong, although not necessarily permanent.

I do know quite a few people who took the course last semester… being a complete CS noob myself, the course sounds terribly hard to me :p.

Have you checked out these pages?

[CS50 Project Fair | FlyByBlog | Harvard Life. To Go. | The Harvard Crimson](http://www.thecrimson.com/series/this-is-cs50/article/2010/12/11/light-harvard-crowd-evening/)

https://www.cs50.net/lectures/

I think if you have a short background in CS, you can handle the course easily; it doesn’t seem so difficult.

I don’t know how to edit the previous post. -.-'

This is an introductory course. For those that come in with programming experience there are more difficult problem sets so that they can stretch too. My daughter took CS50 last semester and she had no prior experience. For her, the course was challenging, but fun.

Holy **** that is an awesome course

Here is the home page

https://www.cs50.net/

The whole course is available for viewing online.

D’s boyfriend took it last semester and my understanding was that he loved the course. What is really unique about it that like CLTDAD said, the course is tailored to your previous programming experience. Though it is one course, students are grouped and graded against like students. My daughter who would NEVER take a programming course, was actually talking about taking it some time.

A lot of people I know took the class last semester and I think most of them had this kind of love/hate relationship with it. It’s a pretty challenging class and it takes a looot of your time every week (CS50 has the reputation to be one of the most time-consuming class at Harvard), but my understanding is that all of them were really happy they took it in the end
And it’s also pretty flexible, I think beginners enjoy it as much as people who have a lot of experience with programming.
