<p>Can someone please let me know if you get credits for taking this class if you are also planning on taking bus-k 201/204. On the spring course descriptions for 2011 it stated on each of these courses that you could only get credit for one of them and not the other if you took them both. Now that description is removed. I emailed the advisors with this question and the were very vague with their response. They responded with </p>
<p>"Yes, you may receive N&M Distribution credit for CSCI-A 110."</p>
<p>which isn't what i was asking nor does it answer my question. Just want to make sure im taking a class where i can get credits for it because i will be taking bus-k 204 in the fall. </p>

<p>Are you an entering freshman? Is it possible the adviser that answered your question didn’t realize this? </p>
<p>Didn’t it say that you had to take CSCI-A 110 first, not that you couldn’t receive credit for both?</p>
<p>Last year it said you could not receive credit for both classes. </p>

<p>Order didn’t seem to be the issue. But now that statement is removed from both class descriptions. I’m just trying to follow up to make sure i’m not taking a class that will get me 0 credits.</p>
<p>You have to take CSCI A110 during a semester before you take K201. Don’t take them the same semester; and don’t take K201 before you take A110.</p>
<p>It still says on the CSCI-A 110 schedule page that you must take it before taking K201. </p>

<p>Yeah, the rule last year was that it was OK to get credit for both as long as you took the CSC class before you took K201.</p>
<p>If the rules are still the same, I’d highly recommend taking the CSC class first sem and k201 second, it helps alot</p>

<p>That is from the Spring of 2010, this past spring version has no such comment.</p>
<p>I talked to a Kelley advisor at orientation about this. As long as you take A110 before K201, you will get credit for both. The credit for A110 will just count as elective credit for the new Kelley degree.</p>
<p>I have asked each of the past three years about this over the phone to the on-call advisors at Kelley, and they always answer that credit counts for both if you take A110 first. Can’t ask this year, as Kelley stopped on-call advising over the phone.</p>
<p>IUstudent40, IU/Kelley is not consistent with the little messages they put in the schedules regarding A110/K201. You can find it saying both won’t count one semester, then the next semester it says nothing, then the next says you can’t count both. Here is a link to the Fall 2009 schedule, saying in the listing for K201 that they both won’t count, when I know they did then, and did for sure last year per Copperiodide and others who post here who took both. They never get it right in the published schedules, for some reason.</p>
