Is CSE a hard program, harder than ECE? I know I shouldn’t solely decide my major based on what is less rigorous, but overall, is CSE a harder CS/CpE program than at other unis? Thank you. I don’t know whether hardware or software is for me too.
Also, is CSE more Comp. Engineering or CS?
CSE is Computer Science Engineering. CIS is Computer Information Science. CSE is through the College of Engineering while CIS is through the College of Arts and Sciences. What you choose is totally based on what you are interested in and where your strengths lie. Both CSE and CIS are HIGHLY competitive majors and you will go into Ohio State (most likely) as a pre-CSE or pre-CIS major. You must fulfill class requirements along with GPA requirements and then apply for admittance to the major.
