CSE Honors & Other Curiosities

Hey everybody!

So, I was accepted to CSE on Thanksgiving of last year (would you look at that!). Ever since then, I’ve been waiting on news from the Honors program. I know that some people have been accepted to the Honors program already, but I heard from my counselor that the CSE program is especially more competitive to get into. I was wondering if anybody was accepted into the Honors program for CSE and could show some stats that might give me an idea of what my chances are and maybe what the program is like :)… Or better yet, here are mine:

UW GPA: 4.0
W GPA: 4.33 (probably higher now)
Class Rank: 6/250+
ACT: 34
ECs: President of Science Club, Debate, Beta Club (community service group), SkillsUSA, etc.

Classes: My school didn’t offer any AP courses :frowning: But, I have taken college courses, English Composition I being the only dual credit course. The other college courses I’ve taken are Psychology, Music Appreciation, and English Composition II. I’ve taken all honors classes including physics and pre-calculus as well.

Also, if you’ve been to the campus/city, could you give me an idea of what it’s like? It would be much appreciated. Thanks a lot!

Following as my DS was accepted in to the CSE, but has yet to hear on Honors. He has very good stats (3.8UW/4.5W, 35ACT, Top 4% and NMF).

Check out the mid-50% of stats for CSE-honors as of fall 2016. Yikes! (not admission criteria, by-the-way, but still helpful as a guideline):
