CSE textbooks // Has anyone purchased books yet?

Ahoy thar,

I just attended orientation, and registered for classes.

After looking at the list of necessary textbooks online, I decided to check for better prices on Amazon, among a few other online stores.

I found most of the textbooks on Amazon, but when I sent the bookstore staff an email requesting ISBN numbers, they refused to provide them.

The textbooks are as follows.

1.) Calculus, Stewart (6th edition)
2.) Java for Scientists+Engineers, Chapman (No additional information was provided)
3.) "PHYSICS F/SCI.+ENGR.W/MOD.PHYS.-W/WKBK," Knight. I'm guessing it's "Physics for scientists+engineers with modern physics with workbook." I'm not sure if this is sold at the bookstore as a bundle, and if "Modern Physics" is some type of study guide, or something else altogether (if that's even possible, what else could it be?)

If anyone could provide the ISBN numbers, or any other relevant information, it would be greatly appreciated.

the isbn numbers are online, in there online book store. It's a bit hidden though(i think it's a bug on there website), add all the books to the cart then click Update cart and it will give u the isbn numbers in a table!!!

I have some of the same books look below
Subject.............ISBN #
Java/CHAPMAN....9780130335203
STEWART/Calc.....9780495011606

Nice job Arian19. When I looked for my books online I seen that it didn't really matter whether I bought them at the book store or at amazon because the prices only differed by a couple of dollars.

Thank you for the quick responses.

I managed to find the ISBN numbers.

The email I received from the bookstore staff reads that if one were to drop a course, or if a given professor were to change his or her choice of textbook, then the bookstore staff would allow returns.

Since, I'm thinking of purchasing some of the books from Amazon, it's relatively important that I can be certain that these textbooks will be used.

Does anyone know if the CSE professors have ever changed textbooks at any time for any reason? (Or if it's likely to happen in the next month?)
